Battle Styles

Battle Style are a combination of mental conditoning, fighting postures and movements that have evolved over the centuries, and are reinforced through constant repetition during training. Individual Battle styles styles mesh well sometimes with particular ways of fighting Most Battle styles in the world are developed independently by talented people. A character can purchase a Battle styles if the character’s meets all the Reqs for that Battle style, Gear Req not included. Purchasing a Battle styles costs a number of Experience Points equal to its Mastery Level. Once a character is familiar with a Battle styles, he can execute it at any time. Executing a Battle styles is a Free Action. Once a character has executed a Battle styles, he gains the listed benefit of the Battle styles until the effect expires (if a duration is listed) or he chooses to drop out of it (which is another Free Action). A character may only have one Battle styles active at a given time.

Bullseye Breaking Strike

Effect: The attack penalty for ranged attacks fired against opponents currently in melee range is reduced by 5. Effect: When you successfully strike an opponent while this Battle Style is active, his Armor TN is reduced by 10 against your subsequent attacks for a period of three Rounds. You may only have one opponent affected by this Battle Style at a time, and the effects are not cumulative, although subsequent strikes can “re-set” the three-Round time limit.
Breath of Wind Battle Dance

Effect: Your initiative score increases by 2 in the beginning of each the reactions stage of each combat round. This effect stacks but disappears immediately if the Battle styles is no longer in effect. Effect: While Fighting in this battle style you add an amount equal to your Dance skill rank to your Armour TN.
Crushing Strike Destructive Fists

Effect: While this Battle Style is active, you may keep half of your Fire Ring rounded up plus one, instead of the normal damage. Effect: While this Battle Style is active, you may keep half of your Earth or Water Ring rounded up plus one, instead of the normal 0k1 when making unarmed attacks.
Dance of Deflection Empowered Defence
Ring/Trait: Reflex 3 Ring/Trait: Stamina 3

Gear Requirement: Not wearing armour with a Armour TN higher than 4. Gear Requirement: Wearing any form of armour
Special Requirement: None Special Requirement: None
Effect: When in the defence stance your armour TN is increased by your Air Ring. Effect: While you are in the Defence or Full Defence Stances, you may use your Earth Ring instead of your Air Ring and Reflex Trait in the Defence or Full Defence, respectively.
Frenzy Indomitable Warrior
Ring/Trait: Any at 2 Ring/Trait: Stamina 3

Special Requirement: you can’t acquire this Battle Style if you have the Inner Calm, Paragon: Will / Control Advantage. Special Requirement: None
Effect: When you activate this Battle Style you enter a uncontrollable blood lust driving you to kill those that stand in your way. While your in this Battle Style you can only be in the Full Attack Stance, you also lose your entire Natural Armour TN and your Parry TN while in this Battle style. But you gain a 0k1 bonus on all attack rolls and you may add your Strength trait times five plus to your final damage roll. Effect: Reduce your TN penalties from wound ranks by your Earth Ring.
Iron Strike Impregnable Defence

Skill Requirement: Polearms or Spears 3 Skill Requirement: None
Gear Requirement: Polearm or Spear Gear Requirement: Wearing Armour
Special Requirement: None Special Requirement: None
Effect: While wielding a Polearms or Spears, you may use your Reflex trait instead of your agility for attack rolls. Effect: While in the Attack Stance, your armour provides an additional AR equal to your Earth Ring minus two.
Masterful Disarm Masterful Feint
Ring/Trait: Reflex 5 Ring/Trait: Agility 2
Skill Requirement: Any weapon skill at 3 Skill Requirement: Weapon Skill of 4.
Gear Requirement: Any Gear Requirement: Any
Special Requirement: None Special Requirement: None
Effect: Your disarm attacks deal normal damage rather than 2k1. You may not increase your damage on these attacks via raises (including from use of the feint manoeuvre). Effect: Once per Turn after successfully making the Feint Manoeuvre, the maximum damage is five time one Ring of your choosing.
Precision Strength Pinpoint Strike

Skill Requirement: Any Weapons skill at 3 Skill Requirement: None
Gear Requirement: Large Weapon Gear Requirement: Small or Medium weapon
Special Requirement: None Special Requirement: None
Effect: While wielding a Large Weapon, you may use your strength trait instead of your agility for attack rolls. Effect: Once per turn against one opponent, you may use your agility trait instead of your strength trait for damage rolls.

Effect: When in the attack stance you may move 1 additional meter when doing a Free Action Move. Effect: You may add your use your Fire Ring instead of your Reflex Trait when calculating your Armour TN.
Skilled Parrying Steadfast Defence

Effect: You may add one of your weapon skills entire skill rank to your Armour TN, instead of half. Effect: You may use your Earth Ring in place of your Air Ring for the defence stance.
Strength of Arms Sweeping Strike

Effect: This Battle Style makes the warriors take stance that enhances his natural strength and focus and brings it to bear on the battlefield. When this Battle Style is active your damage is increased by +1k1. Effect: When doing a cleave manoeuvre you only need to make one raise for each additional opponent.
Torrent of Blows Unbreakable Wall

Effect: Once per turn while wielding a weapon in each hand, you may make the extra attack manoeuvre for 3 raises instead of 5. The second attack comes from your off-hand weapon, dealing weapon damage as appropriate. You may not increase your damage on either attack via raises. Effect: Once per Turn when you declare a Guard Action, you may swap your Armour TN with the person you are guarding until the next reaction stage.
Veiled Attack Whirling Arms

Effect: While you are mounted, your steed gains a bonus of +3 to its Armour TN and an additional 3 Reduction. Effect: Once per Round you may calculate the distance of a Move Action as if your Water is equal to your Stealth Skill Rank. This does not change the maximum distance you can move in a Round.
